It’s time bid adieu to my Leadfeeder colleagues after an action-packed “teamweek” in Gdansk.
As a remote-based organisation, we host bi-annual retreats where the whole company comes together for a week to catch up in person, meet new faces and ultimately bond as a team.
On a day-to-day basis, we do get a long way with just online communication using the likes of Slack and Zoom but if you really want to build quality relationships, meeting up every now and then has a significant impact.
Once you’ve had a chance to meet someone and get to know them, you no longer just see them as an “avatar” when you head back to your home base. During our teamweeks, all Leadfeeder employees get to work and interact with members they might not be accustomed to working with every day. This helps each and every one of us build up some background context and empathy for others, bringing us closer together as a distributed team.
These teamweeks have been instrumental to our success as we’ve grown 📈
